
Four occupations with the highest incidences of DV are: 1) law enforcement; 2) fire and rescue; 3) the military; and 4) the ministry. Yet, only 10% of ministers have had any kind of domestic violence training. Without this training, ministers tend to become part of the problem rather than becoming part of the solution.
Nearly half of the pastors surveyed by LifeWay Research said they don’t know if anyone in their church has been a victim of domestic violence in the last three years.
